We wake up early in Chicago to get a head start on our LONG day of driving. The plan is to leave Chicago, drive through Iowa and Nebraska, to get to Colorado. It should take about 14.5 hours, but with food and potty stops it might take a bit longer.

Like most of the states and roads we've been in there is NOT a whole lot to see!

After about 16 hours in the car, we made it to Denver, Colorado! When we pulled up to our hotel, there was a fire truck and police in front. It turns out that it was a false alarm, but everyone had been evacuated. We got there just in time to go in! We check in to find they didn't have our room, but fortunately we were upgraded! This time we had a whole extra room in our room!!
Time to sleep so we can be rested to the 4th of July and the Rockies game tomorrow!
